Pupil Premium
At Northallerton School & Sixth Form College, we are committed to ensuring that all students, regardless of background or financial circumstance, have access to high-quality education and opportunities to thrive.
The Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to support disadvantaged students. This includes those eligible for free school meals, children in care, and those from families with service backgrounds.
Our Strategy
We use Pupil Premium funding to:
-
Raise attainment and close the gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers.
-
Provide targeted academic support, including literacy and numeracy interventions.
-
Offer pastoral and wellbeing support to remove barriers to learning.
-
Enrich the curriculum through extra-curricular activities and cultural experiences.
-
Support transition and engagement at key stages, including Year 7 and Sixth Form.
Impact and Accountability
Our strategy is reviewed annually and is informed by evidence-based practice. We monitor progress closely and report outcomes to governors and stakeholders.
