Celebrating the Success of Year 11 Students at Northallerton School
We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Year 11 students at Northallerton School. Their hard work, resilience, and commitment to their studies have truly paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way they conducted themselves throughout the examination period, exceptional in almost every case.
A key contributor to this success has been our Study Club, which has had a significant impact on outcomes. Comparing 2024 results; the number of students achieving top grades (7–9) has increased by over 30%, with a total of 133 grades in this range awarded. In addition, our basics measure students achieving grade 4+ and 5+ in English and Maths, have both improved by 5%, reflecting the strength of the intervention and improved support systems.
While many students are rightly celebrating their achievements, we also recognise that some have left feeling disappointed. We want to reassure those students that Miss Martin is available to support them with their next steps. She can be contacted at bmartin@northallerton-alt.uk. If you have any exam queries please contact krodgers@northallerton-alt.uk
We are delighted that so many students have chosen to continue their journey with us by joining our Sixth Form. For those who are still undecided or have changed their minds, Mrs Redpath and Mr Bunn are available to offer guidance. We still have some places available and would be happy to welcome more students into our inclusive and ambitious Sixth Form community.
For Sixth Form enquiries, please contact kredpath@northallerton-alt.uk.
We would also like to highlight some standout performances such as Bea Rayfield who achieved an average of a grade 8 across all subjects, including six grade 8s, a truly exceptional achievement.
Abi Wilkin and Will Isaacs each secured two grade 9s, along with a combined total of ten grades between 7 and 8, reflecting their consistent high performance across the board.
In addition, the following students achieved an average of a grade 7 across all subjects: Bobbie Fu, Owen Stannard, Cayleigh Hughes, Seren Walters, Kate Hill, Billy Davidson, Harriet Lynn, Rosa Vuki, Isabella Cook, Max James and Matthew Townsley.
Congratulations once again to all our Year 11 students. Your achievements are a reflection of your effort, character, and potential. We look forward to seeing what you accomplish next, whether here at Northallerton Sixth Form or beyond.
And finally, thank you to all our parents & carers for you support. It’s certainly not easy getting a teenager through their exams.
Best Wishes

Results Day! Congratulations to Year 13!
2025 marks a year of real achievement for our Sixth Form students at Northallerton School. These results are something to be genuinely proud of and reflect the hard work, resilience, and determination of our students and staff.
We are a proudly inclusive and comprehensive Sixth Form, and this year 59 students sat their A Level exams. Their results reflect not only academic success but also the strength of character and ambition that we value so highly. We are delighted to celebrate their achievements and the exciting futures they now step into.
Out of the 59 students who studied A Levels, 51 A*-B grades were achieved. In addition, 60% of students undertaking Applied Level 3 courses achieved a Distinction, demonstrating strong vocational performance alongside academic success.
We are especially pleased to highlight some outstanding individual performances:
- Jude Scott achieved A* in Maths and Physics, and an A in Psychology. He will be studying Management with Placement at Warwick University.
- Abbie Borrick earned A* in Psychology, and A grades in Biology and Chemistry. She is heading to Newcastle University to study Biochemistry.
